When I launched So What Faith back in 2009, I was excited to be able to expand the reach of my writing beyond my congregation. I had no aspirations of blogging here for many years to come. Now, 17 years into this venture, I pause to reflect on the most recent year.

Most Prolific
Amazingly, I authored more posts here on So What Faith this year than any year in the last decade.
This is my 100th post of 2025, which is 13 more than the prior high set last year and 25 more than the next highest number set in 2019 and repeated in 2023.

Larger Context
Interestingly, my more frequent posting the last two years coincided with my return to parish ministry (I stepped away in 2015). I served as Interim Senior Pastor of Advent Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Arlington, Texas from June 2024 through August 2025.
Back in the early 2010s, I tried blogging on a daily basis for awhile. I made it to 100 days then to 1 year. Soon I found that I had blogged every day for 2 years. I ended the streak after 1,000 days.

So What?
Over the course of my ministry, I have served
- 10 congregations affiliated with 5 Mainline Protestant denominations

Across the decades, I’ve learned much. And, I’ve sought to share my journey through my writing.
I’m grateful for my readers and hopeful So What Faith continues to be a blessing in the year ahead.
