In a few days, we will reach the midpoint of 2021. Many of my blog posts this year have focused on how churches and other ministries are reopening, and how the next normal will differ from what had been normative in a pre-pandemic world. Additionally, the first post of the month each month introduces great new books.
Not surprisingly, all five of the top posts for the first half of this year fit in one of those two categories (top posts as defined by total page views):
- Reopening for In Person Worship: 5 Congregations (April)
- First Indoor Worship Service in a Year (March)
- Giving Up Mainline Protestantism (March)
- Great New Books – January 2021 (January)
- Great New Books – April 2021 (April)
Books
So far this year, I’ve rated 50 new books (books published in 2020 or 2021) here on So What Faith.
- 6 books received a rating of 5 (on a scale of 1-5)
- 1 book received a 5+ rating: Freeing Jesus: Rediscovering Jesus as Friend, Teacher, Savior, Lord, Way and Presence by Diana Butler Bass (featured in Great New Books – April 2021)
So What?
The content of this blog has evolved considerably since 2009, and will continue to evolve. I remain committed to sharing new books, pondering new ideas, and exploring new challenges. And, I’m open to exploring new topics of interest to my readers.
