After sending Christmas letters back in the era when postal mail was just called mail, I shifted that annual correspondence online many years ago. In 2016 I condensed it to 100 words recognizing that most people simply skim the longer format of what often becomes a family newsletter. Every year since, I’ve written a 100 word year in review summary. And, I started sharing that content here on So What Faith last year.
This year’s edition follows.
2024 in Review
After starting a new job late last year as Chief Guest Officer for the Metropolitan Library System (Oklahoma County, OK), Susan transitioned to Interim CEO in April. Greg continued serving as CEO at White Rock Center of Hope (Dallas, TX) and, in June, started serving as Interim Pastor at Advent Lutheran Church (Arlington, TX).
Greg and Susan purchased a second home in Oklahoma City (while retaining our home in Arlington, TX) and traveled to Washington D.C. for Heather’s wedding.
Additionally, Greg became a Preaching Justice Fellow and joined two boards: South Central Conference of the UCC and Forest Hills HOA. (100 words)
So What?
I wonder if you’ve joined the 100 word annual storytelling world.
If not, I invite you to do so. Then, once you’ve done so to determine how and with whom you’d like to share it.
If so (and if public), please share with me.
