Top 10 Plates (#2022)

2022/12/24 By Greg

This is the time of year when food is more central than usual. From Thanksgiving through Christmas there are many reasons family and friends gather at table to share food and life with one another.

Given this emphasis, I’ve curated a top ten list related to food. Shown below are the top ten plates I’ve posted on Google, based on view count. For fairness to all restaurants, I’ve limited each establishment to a single picture (whichever plate had the highest view count).

#10 – Calamari from Tre Mogli (Fort Worth, TX)

#9 Filet Mignon from Don Artemio (Fort Worth, TX)

#8 Ratatouille from Cafe Modern (Fort Worth, TX)

#7 Chargrilled Baby Octopus from Wishbone and Flynt (Fort Worth, TX)

#6 Jalapeño Cilantro Crusted Texas Red Fish from Reata (Fort Worth, TX)

#5 Grilled Duck Breast from Clay Pigeon (Fort Worth, TX)

#4 Variety Box of Donuts from Hypnotic Donuts (Dallas, TX)

#3 Tuile Aux Mures from Paris 7th (Fort Worth, TX)

#2 Key Lime Pie from Mediterrano (Naples, FL)

#1 Octopus from Sails (Naples, FL)

So What?

Over the next three days I’ll gather with family in three different cities, at three different tables, and in three different homes. Food will play a vital role in these experiences.

I invite you to take a few minutes to reflect on the role of food in your families (family or origin, family of choice, etc.) and in your faith communities (past and present).

May you find the tables in your life to be and to become places where all are welcome, all are fed, and all find strength for the journey.
