Tweets Worth Thinking About (#1986)

2022/05/09 By Greg

In the past, I’ve limited my blogging about my tweeting to times when what I said was amplified by others. This has resulted in posts that include

  • 10 Most Popular Tweets in the Last 10 Years (2021)
  • Top 5 Tweets of 2020 (2020)
  • Christians Don’t Own Jesus (2019)
  • My Top 5 Tweets of 2018 (Jan. – May) (2018)
  • Winning a Retweet Award (2012)

Today, I offer an entirely different sort of collection of tweets: tweets worth thinking about.

Ten Tweets – Quotes from New Books

The following ten tweets are quotes from recently published books. Each of these books has been included on one of So What Faith’s monthly list of recommended reads in 2022. The tweets were selected because they made me stop and think rather than because of any statistical success they encountered on Twitter.

Three Bonus Tweets

The following three tweets are quotes that were offered in sanctuaries in Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas during the month of April, 2022. The first was presented during an afternoon lecture; the final two were delivered during Sunday morning sermons.

So What?

Thought provoking words are important. They prompt us to question, to search, to learn, and to grow. And, they often lead us to act.

I’d welcome hearing which of the tweets you found yourself drawn toward and why. And, to hear a bit about your thinking as you encountered the content (and, if applicable, your doing or plans to act).
