Be ready.
This is a message I’ve heard since I was a child. Always be ready.
- Be ready for everything on your calendar.
- Be ready for opportunities that are just around the corner.
- Be ready for the unexpected.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect
I Peter 3:15b, NIV
Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy.
1 Peter 3:15b, The Message
Winter Storms
Right now, I’m in the midst of something unusual. Here in the greater Dallas – Fort Worth metropolitan area we’ve been told to get ready for extreme (for Texas) winter weather. The alarms started sounding yesterday. The worst of the projected winter weather will occur on Thursday.
We are being encouraged to be ready. Unusually long lines in grocery stores suggest people are heeding the message to be prepared.
Even the signs on the highway proclaim the importance of preparation.
So What?
Do you follow the Way of Jesus? If so, what sort of hope does this path provide?
Now is the time. Be ready. Expect folks to ask.
Can you deliver an authentic and impactful response?
