Finding Our Way

Sarah Ciavarri is a first time author who spent more than twenty years as a chaplain. She is the founder of This Wholehearted Life, a Professional Certified Coach, and a popular speaker. Ciavarri is a Certified Facilitator of all of Dr. Brene Brown’s curricula, and has facilitated more than 200 workshops.

Being a good leader on any given day and leading well over the course of one’s professional career are challenging aspirations. One of the more significant but less talked about obstacles are the common lies leaders often begin to believe about themselves. Ciavarri’s book invites leaders to recognize the power of these lies and take purposeful steps to overcome them.

The seven lies are

  • I don’t know enough
  • I must finish what I started
  • I must follow the rules
  • I have to be nice
  • People must like me
  • I’m responsible for it all
  • I need to be the right type of Christian
