I started this blog in June 2009, and have been writing about matters of faith that matter ever since.
Thank You
Thanks for your support! Your readership, engagement, and encouragement are a tremendous gift.
Today I pause my normal content creation to reflect and to celebrate.
Ministry
Over the last 11 years I’ve spent most of my time serving four congregations and an ecumenical mission center:
- First Presbyterian Church – Naples, FL
- Naples United Church of Christ – Naples, FL
- United Church of Marco Island – Marco Island, FL
- Fort Myers Congregational United Church of Christ – Fort Myers, FL
- Mansfield Mission Center – Mansfield, TX
These experiences have provided me with innumerable opportunities to grow as a follower of the Way of Jesus, and have informed and often inspired my writing.
Writing Over Time
I never set out to blog with a set frequency or to continue blogging for more than a decade. The discipline of blogging, however, has become a meaningful part of my faith journey.
My first five full years of blogging (2010-2014) I published between 172 and 365 posts a year. The next five years (205-2019) I published between 53 and 94 posts a year. Half-way through the first year of a third five year period, I’ve posted 30 times or at an annualized pace of 60 posts a year.
