Earlier this week, Naples United Church of Christ‘s third annual adult enrichment booklet was published. I invite you to check it out below. If you happen to find yourself in Southwest Florida, please consider attending one or more of the events. This year’s educational offerings include Diana Butler Bass, Lauren Artress, and Ted Coiné.
So What?
The 2014 edition is the third annual adult enrichment publication at Naples UCC.
The idea for this format started in 2011 when I took over the role of Director of Adult Education, and realized that the prior method of advertising each event individually was inadequate. The 2012 brochure included all of the major educational events planned for our 2012 season (January-February-March — the time when our congregation is at its largest each year).
In 2013, the brochure expanded to include musical events. Additionally, the events included covered a slightly expanded date range.
In 2014, the brochure expanded yet again to include fellowship offerings. Additionally, the date range expanded yet again to run from October through April.
- Does your congregation offer a single brochure or other marketing piece designed to introduce all of your many enrichment opportunities for adults? If so, when is it published and how is it distributed? If not, do you feel such a piece would be a helpful addition to your congregation’s literature?
- How does your congregation market or advertise adult enrichment offerings to those in your community with no current ties to your congregation? How effective has this approach been?
