Jesus as Facebook’s Most Liked? (#0486)

2011/09/14 By Greg

Jennifer Preston’s recent New York Times article explores how a Facebook page about Jesus became the most popular page of all:

For the last three months, more people have “Liked,” commented and shared content on the Jesus Daily than on any other Facebook page, including Justin Bieber’s page, according to a weekly analysis by AllFacebook.com, an industry blog.

The Jesus Daily is the creation of the 41 year old medical researcher Dr. Aaron Tabor.  Tabor writes most of the content himself and has relied on “marketing techniques learned from his successful diet business, which he now pitches on QVC. ”

So What?

Jesus is doing quite well when it comes to Facebook popularity.  According to All Facebook, the top ten list of interactions includes two Jesus pages: the Jesus Daily ranks first and Jesus Christ ranks tenth.  Note: the Bible ranked third.

Name Fans Interactions
1. Jesus Daily 8,284,774 3,419,397

Have you liked the Jesus Daily?  Why do you think these three Christian pages are faring so well in both attracting fans and interaction?
