Happy 2nd birthday to sowhatfaith.com! Over the course of the last two years, a great deal has changed in my life and with this site.
I have
- transitioned from full-time to part-time ministry in a local congregation
- transitioned from serving a Presbyterian (PCUSA) parish to serving one affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC)
- started working full-time for a university
Sowhatfaith.com has
- transitioned from posting new content twice a week (101 posts in the first year) to almost daily (290 posts in the second year, moving to daily posts in October 2010)
- transitioned from a basic site design (the first site I ever created) to something more professional (site redesign work by Beyond the Building with assistance for the logo from a graphic artist — both of whom I recommend without reservation)
So What?
For me, blogging has become a spiritual discipline. I find that many of the sowhat questions I ask linger in my mind and find their way into multiple conversations on and offline. I am convinced that faith matters and that a religion with relevance to the realities of our daily lives is essential. For me, the journey of faith is the way of Jesus.
- Apart from the traditional listing of spiritual practices or disciplines, what experiences have helped you grow in your faith? Once you identify each, how do you seek to be more intentional about utilizing it on a more regular basis?
- What are your impressions of sowhatfaith? What content has been especially meaningful or challenging? What would you like to see in the future?
