1,000 Days of Daily Blogging (#1150)

2013/07/10 By Greg

This post marks 1,000 days of blogging on a daily basis. I launched sowhatfaith.com just over 4 years ago.  Almost three years ago, I started blogging on a daily basis.  At several points along that journey I paused to reflect and share my experience: 100 Days, 1 Year, and 2 Years. So What? I hope my daily posts have been substantive, relevant, and actionable.  I believe even more strongly now than I did when I launched this blog that it is important for people who Read More …

My First 3 Years on Twitter (#0853)

2012/09/15 By Greg

I just completed my first three years on Twitter.  As I have done at the end of prior years (year two / year one), I took some time to review my experience and to ponder future possibilities.   According to Tweet Grader, I earned an A (93 out of 100). Tweet Grader also provided me data about trends in the number of people I am following as well as the number who are following me. As the chart below illustrates, over the last two years both groups have grown considerably. Reflecting Read More …

Two Years of Tweeting (#0487)

2011/09/15 By Greg

Today is my (@sowhatfaith) Twitterversary.  I have now been tweeting for two years.  I took some time to compare my first year on Twitter to my second.  That analysis yielded the following data: As my comfort level grew, so did the frequency of my tweeting: average daily tweet count was 2.6 in year one compared to 6.8 in year two (an increase of roughly 150%) As I better understood the role and value of Twitter, I moved away from posting my tweets on my Facebook wall. The Story of So What Faith (#0228)

2010/12/31 By Greg

Sowhatfaith.com launched in June 2009 as a means of sharing my thoughts with those beyond my parish.  From the beginning, the blog has focused on contemporary issues and reviews of recently published books by providing a blend of information and questions.  Written some time ago, the following words about the purpose of this website remain on the contact/about page: Individually and as faith communities, true growth is often the result of struggling with the so what questions of Read More …

Celebrating my Twitterversary (#0142)

2010/09/15 By Greg

Happy Twitterversary Sowhatfaith I joined Twitter one year ago today, which makes today my first twitterversary.  Initially, I tweeted sparingly (between 31 and 56 times a month).  Once I felt more familiar with the discipline , I tweeted a bit more (between 89 and 97 times  a month).  Last month I fully embraced tweeting and posted more than ever by some margin (276 tweets).  This month I am on pace for about the same number of tweets as last Read More …
